Total AV

I have attempted to remove Total AV as I no longer subscribe to it but do not seem able to clear it. It comes up on the screen when I open my iMac.

Any ideas how I can totally remove this application.

What method did you use to try to remove it?

I use Appcleaner, which usually does a very good job.

Open Finder, Applications, right-click on Total AV, and select Move to trash.

Their website describes how to uninstall it but it assumes you still have it properly installed. I guess the worst possible scenario is that you would need to re-install it and then run the uninstall sequence!
