SOLVED Toolbar

I'm running El Capitan on an old Mac. I've lost the toolbar in Safari; tried option-command-T with no success. Toolbar doesn't show in the View tab either.
How to resolve?

Hi,

Try this choose a blank spot on the top bar of Safari, Right click and choose Show Toolbar or in Safari's View Menu. Or Safari/View/Show Favorites Bar
Safari/View/Customise Toolbar.

Hi,

Pleased it is back, I slightly misunderstood, so if this happens again quit Safari by right clicking it's icon in the dock and reopen it.
