Text to Speech - Reading from beginning for selected text

Hi All,

I am having issue with Mac default text to speech. issue is It always read from the Beginning in some applications , it works fine in MS Word and Outlook.
But I am having issue with Mozilla thunderbird Email client , if I select a word or select singe line inside an email , it always read from the beginning , same thing happens for some PDF file with multiple columns. Any help is appreciated.

Hello and welcome.

I tested it on my Mac, and I get the same result. Sounds like it is an issue with Thunderbird and other third-party applications, as they may not fully comply with Apple's Speech calls. Not much you can do, other than contact Mozilla support and see if they have any suggestions.
