Startup disc corrupted

Running Mountain Lion, my start up hard disc is giving problems although it still boots.
I have other internal discs and want to know how I install ML on one of them.
I have a Time Machine backup but SuperDuper refuses to make a bootable copy of the startup disc :-(
What can I do?

To help us diagnose the issue, please post your Mac specs so we know what we are dealing with.

-What kind of problems are you experiencing?
-Does SuperDuper! give you any error messages?

Hi Cory,
Thanks for the reply but I have the answer.
ML adds a recovery file to your hard disc and if you have a Time Machine backup it allows you to use another disc to boot/replace your original disc.
