Via some interesting (and revealing) discourse I am participating in at Micromat's site (they make Tech Tool Pro), I saw this link:

For myself, that possibly raises some questions, as 1) I have a "stock" SSD supplied by Apple inside my mid 2013 13" MacBook Air (almost certain it is a Samsung 840 EVO "clone"), 2) I installed a Samsung 840 Pro 256 gig inside my late 2012 Mac Mini, and 3) I have two external drives, and both of them have Samsung 850 Pro 512 gig SSDs inside. Not sure what boot times will be on the two Macs, nor on my bootable SuperDuper! backups on the external SSDs, once I upgrade to High Sierra (still waiting for a new version of Tech Tool Pro, along with some information from Logitech).
