Spinning wheel of death

Since my Mac got the latest update I October it takes forever to open and then all I get is the spinning wheel. I have tried rebooting but it doesn’t help.

-Which model Mac?
-Which version of OS X/macOS?
-Were you having any issue before applying the update?
-How much feee space is left on the drive?

yup. mine also had the same issue. exchanged it for a new one.
