Hi!

I always appreciate the kindness and helpfulness of people on this site!

I've got a mid-2009 MacBook Pro I believe with dual USB 2.0 ports. I want to begin transferring data to some USB 2.0 thumb drives, but it takes hours on end just to transfer UNDER a gigabyte ... it's rough.

What do you recommend? A USB 2.0 to 3.0 to 2.0 converter without getting a new thumb drive or do I need to get a 3.0 storage device too?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

HI,

Yes, that model has USB 2.0 ports. Because of the limitation of those ports, you cannot speed things up by using a USB 3.0 converter or device. You are pretty much stuck with those speeds unfortunately.

Sorry,

C
