Screen saver won't turn off

I have disabled the screen saver in the settings but it still comes on and forces me to restart whatever upload or download I was doing. I hate Windows but OSX is the worst most unusable software I have ever used. My Mac hates me.

Hello,

-What are your full settings in  > System Preferences... > Energy Saver and Desktop & Screen Saver > Screen Saver?
-If you disabled the screen saver, it is still being triggered?
-Can you clarify "forces me to restart whatever upload or download I was doing"?
