Save as Adobe PDF

I'm using Acrobat 9.4.6 & MacOS 10.6.8. I trying to create a workflow that get a group of of HiRes pdfs/filter just pdfs/ Sorts/Combine all/ save as Adobe PDF.

The workflow works but the final PDFs is lowResolution 72 dpi. In the Save as Adobe PDF action I'm using a Press Quality setting that creates a 300 dpi PDF. I don't get why the Final PDF is low Res. Any suggestions. See attached
