Safari can’t verify the identity of the website “iCloud.com”

Hi, I have deleted my disk and trying to install os from bootable disk however after entering my iCloud username and password I get an error that connection failed. I went to safari via online from from recovery mode and noticed that safari can’t communicate with iCloud.com due to the following error:

Safari can’t verify the identity of the website “iCloud.com”

it says the certificate for this website is invalid.
And when I click on always trust it takes me to a blank white page.

My iMac only goes to Mac OS X utilities, can’t go to any other modes.

Please advise.

Hi,

I notice from your image you are running lion so its version of Safari would not up-to-date with regards to the latest internet specifications. So not sure you can go through recovery mode.
