Running out of RAM

My iMac 2020 shows the beachball frequently and Mackeeper reports it as needing the RAM to be cleaned as it is always down to below 10Mb after startup. During use of two or more apps, it frequently needs to to cleaned again and again!

It’s now on Ventura but may still be a Spotlight connected issue. The only place I found stored files when I looked at the restore options available to me.

I can easily make a new profile but would I then have to spend days reinstalling all my apps to use it?

Hello and welcome.

I assume this is an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020), correct?

Honestly, we do not recommend using utilities like MacKeeper, as they cause far more problems than their usefulness. Other than what MacKeeper is reporting, are you having any issues?

I would suggest disabling/uninstalling MacKeeper and see if that resolves the slowness/SBOD issue.
