Hi, I new to this forum, I hope you can help me.
I have a Power PC G5 mac, running 10.4.11. One day it just shut off, and when I rebooted it up, It came on but, shut right off again. So, I removed the plastic air mover inside the mac, and It rebooted and now it stayed on. Does anybody knows what is going on, and If I leave it running will it hurt my machine. I really would love for someone to reply to this question? Thanks!

Hi,

Personally I would I take the back off to see if you have any bad looking (bulging capacitors). Also look for a build up of dust clogging the very narrow intake ports at the bottom of the screen and some of the internal ducts on the back panel.
