Whenever I am viewing web pages, looking at pictures, or viewing YouTube videos, it sounds like the computer is "running away" inside. It goes from running quiet to loud, and one thinks of speed. Close all the web pages and eventually it slows down and then is quiet. It doesn't do this when doing word processing or working with Photoshop, etc. What is going on? Is something getting ready to fail?

Power Mac G5, OS 10.5.8

Thank you.

That'll be the fans, the newer versions of Flash just windup the CPU, it gets hot and needs the fans on full blast.

Remember the G5 was worst CPU ever put in a Mac. It runs very hot! And it was discontinued

Ok, thanks for the reply.
Does the fact that the fan(s) are running, worst CPU, etc., mean there is any imminent danger of a crash, etc.? Thanks

If the CPU reaches too high a temp the Mac will turn off. Not really a crash burt you may loose work.
