SOLVED Rotating external monitor in portrait mode still landscape

I use a mid-2017 Macbook Pro Ventura 13.6.9 with Finale 27 for orchestral scores. Landscape mode requires continuously scrolling up and down. I using a CRUA CR245ZB 24" rotating monitor to help the problem. In rotated portrait mode, the score is still in landscape and the mouse is erratic.
What do i need to adjust?

You should be abe to go to your system preferences and then under Displays there is a "Rotation" pull down menu. Unfortunately there is no keyboard shortcut for this.

I had the wrong screen selected. When the external monitor was selected "rotation" came up as an option.
