So I bought a used Macbook pro and I want to restore it to factory setting so it's like new, but I don't have any disks or anything.

I have checked the partition and it says it has 'GUID something something'. I have looked and I could buy the recovery disks off ebay?

could something help me understand if I need to buy the disks or if I already have the restore stuff in my partition?

If i do need to get disks which ones should I get (Snow leopard? ect)

I really appreciate any help! thank you

Go to the  in the upper left of Finder and choose "About This Mac" or something like it and post back what it says re: Mac OS X Version … then I can further advise you on what to do.
