I have set an encryption password for my SSD which prompted when I reset my Mac Book Pro 13" Mid 2012 Laptop.

I'm now looking to sell my laptop and need to remove this password from the internal memory which I was prompted to type on reset.

I think it's the disk utility password. It's what I was prompted to sign in for once rebooted after reset. It's different from my account / admin password to try and be clear.

Any help, greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome.

-Is it a firmware password that you enter when you startup, or do you mean FileVault is enabled?
-Can you upload a photo of the screen that prompts for a password?
