Remote Desktop Program Suggestions ?

Hi,

I have heard about the remote desktop apps where it is
presumably possible to have what's on a Windows10 pc appear, and be controlled by, one's Mac.

Sounds great.

I downloaded and played with Team Viewer, the free version, but it kept hanging up
my Mac

Anyone have any experience with (hopefully free) other similar programs that
work well ?

And are fairly basic, straightforward, and easy to use. Nothing involved or "fancy".

Would prefer to have one that does not lock me into the Chrome Browser.

Know anything about "Any Desk" which I see listed, e.g. ?

I use VNC to have my other computer desktops on my iMac. It works with My Mac Mini, Ububtu linux and Raspberry pi's. You just need a VNC Server installed on the target computer and you are good to go.

And, for all the previous help; really appreciate it.

Think I have it installed and working now.
Wow: talk about going thru hoops to do it !
But seems working now (free vers.)

Am really going to enjoy using it.
Want to use my Mac, which is in a better spot for me, to see and control everything on my W10 pc.

So, thanks again.

Any caveats or other things I should know about, perhaps, in
using the free Vers. ?
