Wondering if Iomega Zip disks will work in a VST internal Zip drive? Iomega disk fits in, makes spinning noises but nothing shows up on desktop. VST drive is not original to my newly acquired PowerBook G3, but slides into a bay. (Supposedly capable of hot-swapping). Is some type of VST or Iomega software need to be installed in order for disks to be recognized?

Thanks much for your info. I actually have Iomega install on both floppy and CD. Hopefully, VS interacts with this. Using these old Macs is satisfying, like wearing your comfortable old shoes. Back in the day I knew enough to get by, but the brain is older now.

No worries...

Try installing that software and see if that rectifies the issue, and let us know.
