Problem with video streaming on safari

Hello everyone!

I have a Macbook pro 2,5 GHZ Intel core i5.
Recently I updated to High Sierra. I was mostly using Google chrome for all my internet research and entertainment but since the update to High Sierra, Google chrome is making my Mac extremely slow or even not working at all anytime it's open. Before high Sierra, I noticed that Google chrome was making my mac slower when it starts but nothing like with High Sierra.
So I was forced to use Safari but it seems like Safari has a lot of trouble playing my videos on streaming with players like: speedvid, estream, openload, streamango...
If anyone knows why I have so much trouble and if their is anyway I could fix it?
Also, do you know if Firefox would work with High Sierra? As I'm not a big fan of Safari...

First thing I would do is uninstall Google Chrome and then download Onyx from here https://www.titanium-software.fr/en/onyx.html be sure to use the High Sierra version and run the automation feature.
Have you tried the VLC media player? https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
Also the latest version of High Sierra 10.13.2 ? Then you could reinstall Chrome and see if it runs better.
