SOLVED Preview for making a circle

what free app can I use to make a clear circle on a MacBook

apologise not getting back to u earlier. I am trying to use Annotations (In myMB) but not happy as I cannot do a non filled circle always lands up filled also making arrows seems to be limited in length - hence the reason I ask if there was another app free or otherwise

What kind of files are you wanting to edit?
It is possible to do what you want, with a pdf etc. in Preview or Adobe Acrobat.

Mainly modifying pictures and cartoons I have worked through Preview but thought maybe of something better
Even downloading an app tompurchase

You can do that in Preview. Go Tools Menu>Annotate>Oval. Admittedly it's an oval, but you can drag it into a circle. Or click on the Mark Up Toolbar button and then choose from there.
