In my photos I have a few picture that are TIF is there a way to change TIF TO JPG?

or, you can drag the photo to the Desktop, double click to open in Preview and then export as a JPEG.

I get to preview and then I'm lost.

Open your picture, then go to Preview File Menu>Export...> then chose JPEG from the Format menu in the popup box.
