Dear Machelpers,
I want to transfer photos from my iPhone to my Mac. I connect these with the appropriate USB cable. Photos pops up on the Mac, but the 'import window' does not appear. So I click on the iPad symbol in the side column, but this has no effect although 'Photos is open for this device'.
Click on File>Import... does not help. The iPhone is on of course.

What might be the reason?

The Mac: macOS Mojave 10.14 6 and is equipped with iTunes 12.9.5.5
The iPhone: 6sPlus with iOS12.4.1

Do I have to do something special on the iPhone? Click on the Photos app there etc.? Its not prescribed though I think.

Thanks in advance for your ideas! Dirk

Hello,

With iOS 12, it should prompt you to unlock the iPhone before you can transfer photos. Let us know if that helps.
