Hi All,

I am having problems with importing photos from my iPhone (It's a 6 Plus) to both my iMac and my Macbook. When I plug phone into either computer Photos opens up and says 'No Photos' when there are new, not imported photos.

If I leave phone plugged in and repeatedly hard reset phone, the photos eventually show up and can then be imported. I need the pictures to be able to do my job and the problem is driving me mad!

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hello and welcome.

-Which version of OS X on the iMac and MacBook?
-Which version of iOS on the iPhone?
-Which version(s) of iPhoto/Photos an the Macs?
-Have you tried another cable to connect the iPhone?
-Are you using any form of Photo Stream or iCloud Library with an iCloud account?

Hi Cory,

Thanks for your reply, the details are as follows
iMac OS X Yosemite version 10. 10.5
Macbook is the same
iPhone 10.3.3
I have tried using several cables, all genuine Apple.
I have an iCloud account, it was set up by my son and I don't know too much about it. Photos were importing after it was set up so not sure it's that.

Thanks & regards
Peter

OK, thanks for the additional information.

-Does the iPhone work and charge normally otherwise?
-Have you tried different USB ports on both Macs?
-Try using the Image Capture app and see if it is recognized.
-Is the iPhone recognized in iTunes?
