Phonetic alphabet character set

My desktop OS was recently "upgraded" (or downgraded) to Catalina OS 10.15.6 and the phonetic alphabet has seemingly disappeared from the Emoji and Symbols menu. Is it lurking somewhere, or if not, is there anywhere I can go to get it back?

I haven't ever used that function. I assume you are referring to the IPA fonts?

Where did it appear previously? What application were you using it in?

I'm still on Mojave, and I don't have it.
