Hello all,
I took out the main drive (4TB)from a 2006 iMac 21" and tried to use an HDdock, tried to have it mount on my new iMac. Disk utilities sees the drive but wants me to run disk utilities. So I did and I keep getting this warning and don't know where to begin. I think it sees this as a boot drive and is confused. So how do I get around this so I can pull the info off the drive to my new iMac?

Hello and welcome.

A few clarification/troubleshooting questions:
-The HDD is a WD Red 5400 rpm NAS drive that you installed and removed from your 2006 iMac, correct?
-What brand/model is the hard drive dock?
-Which version of OS X/macOS on the 2006 iMac's HDD and the new iMac you are connecting it to?
-How is the dock connected - Thunderbolt, USB, etc.?
-You image shows that you are trying to repair the startup volume - is your iMac started up from the drive you pulled from the 2006 iMac that is in the dock?
-Do you happen to have a copy of DiskWarrior?
