Hi.. i have an original i pod.. it is about 10 years old i think, but still working.

As i remember, when i purchased it, i could put music on it from i tunes,
but not take music off of it (like to transfer from the i pod to i tunes).

I would like to transfer all the music i have stored on the device to a new device.

will I be able to do this?

does anyone know if there would be such a thing as a "transfer service" where someone would do this for me-
On their computer or system
( transfer to i tunes and then onto new i pod )..

i guess there might be some kind of copyright restrictions or something.
i have long since deleted all the music from my i tunes which are on the i pod.

i hope this is intelligible.

Yes, due to the copyright agreement that Apple has with the record labels, you cannot transfer music back from an iOS device that wasn't purchased through iTunes. Legally, you have to maintain copies of all music that you have on your iPod for proof of ownership. You can connect it and transfer purchases back from the account you are logged into on the iTunes Store.

I can't recommend any software that would enable this, but Google search can be your friend.

There was software that can move the "Hidden" files back! Google is your friend.
