Apple states following:

Force text to the top of the next column
  • Click where you want the previous column to end.
  • Choose Insert > Column Break (from the Insert menu at the top of your screen).
But is doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I don't use Numbers, preferring Excel. But, I booted up the version of Numbers that came with Sierra, OS 10.12.4, and it was version 3.2. How long have you been having this issue?

I just only tried, as all I wanted to do was create an alphabetized list that continued from column to column. (*_*)
