New to Mac..Help with Picassa

Hi,
I am new to using a Mac. I want to take my photos from my camera and put them in a file on my desktop but I cant figure out how to. I figured out how to import to iphoto but when I do that, my photos dont all show up in the same folder when I open Picasa. Please help! So fustrated!!

Hi,

If Image Capture is not in the dock then go to your applications folder or Launchpad and look for it there, then open it. Now connect your camera to the Mac and in the left hand box you should see it listed under devices, along side all your photos and vids in the right hand box.
In the bottom of Image Capture screen you will see a file destination box choose other and navigate to your file on the desktop if that is where you want them. Now click import all. Job done.

Just follow oldscribe's advice & create a new folder on your desktop to save them to.
