Need Help

i tried to download a software for work purpose, but keep getting this error meaasage. "Safari can’t open the file “TelStar_Supervisor_600_B66-1.msi” because no available application can open it."

do i need to download something to use it,i am new with mac.

The .msi file extension refers to Microsoft Windows Installer, which you can't run on Mac OS X.

Do you have a Windows partition on your Mac?

What exactly are you trying to achieve?

no i do not have a windows partition, can you tell me exactly how to go about doing that?

Also i just went on my company website to download a application for work, i did not know what .msi means or that its for windows. i just got my mac 2 days now, so i am new about what i can and cannot do on it.

If its for work, I'd use Parallels, a lot easier to manage than bootcamp.
