SOLVED My Iphone7 shows the messages icon that I have 4 messages, but nothing there.

Hi, my Iphone7 shows the messages icon that I have 4 messages, but when I open the app, and go though all the filters etc, there is no new messages.

are the well hidden, or is this just a hand over from deleted mess ages that have not yet up dated the icon count.?

and how can I fix this.?

Hello,

A few things to look at:

• Background App Refresh is disabled
• The sync settings for Mail in Settings is set to manual
• You have a very large amount of emails in your inbox
• You could try adjusting your Notifications settings

Let us know if any of that helps.

Hi, the background app refresh is ON.
don't know where to find the mail settings.
no emails at all.
and don't know where to adjust notifications.

this is not a big thing. but is still there.

I only made 4 phone calls on it all last year, as being almost deaf. no one phones me anyway...

was mainly used to snap the log in Covid signs when entering store.

but will try nd persevere with it. hahaha

I played with some of the setting. and next time I turned it on to charge it now shows no messages present. so what ever I did as you suggested worked..
