Minolta Magicolor 2430 DL Network Printer keeps changing URL

Hi,
This is my first post to this site.
I have a Network Color Laser Printer which MAC X recognizes part of the time. I believe it is due to using DHCP. The printer is ethernet-cabled to the back of a NETGEAR router. Does anyone know how to force a specific URL so that I don't have to keep selecting different printers by URL#s (eg. 192.168.1.3 or 192.168.1.4)?

Hi there and welcome,

we've all been away on Holiday, so apologies for the delay !

From what I can understand from your post, the printer keeps changing URL ?

If this is the case, then it sounds like you need to change your network settings.

Is this a large network ? Can you assign static IP addresses to each individual machine on the network or is DHCP needed ?

What version of Netgear router do you have ?
