Good morning, Good day,

I have an MBP 2016 running on Mac Monterey 12.2.1.
When I close the lid then open it back again, sometimes the Touch Bar turns ON and sometimes no.
I have reseted the NVRAM, updated the Mac OS but still same issue.
Sometimes I hear a small click while opening, or even when I work on my MBP with the lid open of course, I hear some click, kind of expansion click.
Waiting for an answer, please accept my regards.

Hello,
  • Any liquid/physical damage that you are aware of?
  • What are of the MBP does the clicking sound emit from?
  • Is the click sound more prominent when opening the display?
  • Are the keyboard or trackpad spongy/non-responsive in spots?

Hello, thanks for answering,

Today, I have closed the lid 4 times. Out of these, in this last attempt the Touch Bar did not respond, and it is still OFF now.
Actually, there is no liquid/physical damage.
I am not sure about the exact place where the click comes from. Not really sure if it is only from the lid.
The keyboard is responding normally, but the trackpad sometimes no, but rarely.
I know it is tricky, I have doubt doubt on the system. I want to format the hard drive and reinstall Mac OS.
Because the system is getting slow after long use, like 3 or 4 days, then I have to restart the MBP again to get it work perfectly.
Hopefully my answers can help to find out the issue.
I am available for Moree information.
Many thanks and best regards
Soulimane
