(Maybe) Partitioned drive?

Hi there,

Fairly new to Macs but knew my way around Windows pretty well. Bought a used imac off of ebay and noticed that the 1TB drive is separated-- I've already gone to the trouble of migrating my things over to the HD via the migration assistant, but I noticed that part of it is the Macintosh HD, and about 250 GB is "Untitled". What does this mean and is there a way to get it to read as one disk? Not sure what the partition equivalent is to macs yet, but I'm not sure if this is what the previous owner was using the separation for. A little clarification would be great, thanks!

Looks like it.

It depends on how it was made, but Disk Utility can resize/remove partitions.

That could be an old Windows Partition ... but it's empty ....
