I have a folder with 2000 jpg files. They are have 7 characters before the .jpg, such as AAB 3422.jpg.

I also have tiff and nef versions of each of the files such as AAB3422,NEF and AAB3422.tiff.

I want to delete all those files.

I have been doing a finder search for the first 7 letters AAB3422 and all three files, the jpg, the new, and the tiff show up. I then drag the 3 files to the trash.

This works fine, but I would have to repeat it 2000 times. Can anyone think of a better way?

I must add, my knowledge of scripting is nil.

Also, do you have lists or forums for Apple users I could write to if I do not find a solution here.
