Need some basic information that you needed to include:

1. What exact Mac model do you have?

2. What exact Mac OS are you running?

OK. Are you trying to use MapsGalaxy within a browser? If so, which browser?

Here are the results of a search I just did for MapsGalaxy:

https://www.google.com/search?q=Map...j69i60j69i61.456j0j1&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Some of those "hits" look a little "disturbing", regarding unwanted adware. I am using Google Chrome, and I can add it via the Chrome Web Store, but I am unwilling to try it, given that adware business.

I am in Safari and when I try to use MapQuest it tells me I have to download MapsGalaxy but when I try to do that I get a message that says there was an error in trying to download it and it can't download it.

As I stated, I have no issue with Google Chrome. Seems to be either a "bug" in Safari, or an issue with your ISP.

Hello and welcome.

MapsGalaxy is definitely on the adware list, as it is known to hijack your browser. Sounds like it may have partially hijacked your Safari.

I suggest you download and run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac to remove it completely. After that, you should be able to load MapQuest normally.
