Making folders work efficiently

I have a number of client folders under a master folder on iCloud. I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to identify a due date on the each client folder as an easy reminder when the case report is due. Currently the file is labeled with the client case name. I would prefer not to add the due date to the file name, but know no other way to add a conspicuous due date to the folder. Any ideas?

Not sure if it solves your problem but, if you control click (or right click) on a folder and go to get info, you can add a comment.

Or you can use 'Tags' Link..
