main screen problem

other day I leaned on my keyboard and hit buttoons and now the main desktop screen is zoomed in so I have to move the mouse to the other side so it will move the screen so I can see the rest...thats the best way i can describe it..... i dont know how to fix it. nor do i know what buttons to press to fix it.. Can anyone help or know what i'm talking about?

Do you still have the menu bar and dock showing?

yes the dock is still showing although the time on the top bar i have to move the mouse over so i can c it

Have you done a SMC reset, if you have never done this have a look here.

Have you held down the Control Key and Scrolled Down?

Just to add defiantly try Kavemans suggestion before a SMC reset.
