My wife wants to use a script (or italic, I guess) signature on her mail. She wants the body header and so on to be plain printed text, but the signature only to be script. Her Mac is running OSX Ver 10.9.5. I cam manipulate the signatures, adding of deleting, but have unable to even cut and paste an italic signature in there!

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hello and welcome.

Sorry it took so long...

Try creating a signature, then Option-click (right-click) the text of the signature and select Font > Show Fonts. The font window will come up and you can change the font to suit.

Thank you Cory. That worked fine. It is a part of the never ending mess, Carol can select a cursive font for her signature on her Mac, and I receive the closest font on my PC! In this case, italics! BUT her Mac friends will get the intended signature just fine.
