i like to watch movies from the internet, so i usually connect my mac trough the vga adaptor to the tv. this used to be easy as i just had to connect fisically these cables.
however today after my mom used it, i tried to watch a movie but my mac didn't recognised the vga!

maybe she changed some definition or anything in the preferences?
bye

I'd start with replugging the cables, as it's the most likely point.

Next check your System Preferences > Monitors and see if it's seeing the TV as a second screen.
