Mac Terminal History Command ..

I opened Terminal in Mac to see my history. I typed in dscacheutil -cachedump -entriesHost. the history didnt come up but a list of something else.
It was something like dscacheutil -h and dscacheutil -g...etc
what did i do wrong?
