Two questions pertaining to using Mail:
1) how do I set a spell check prior to mail being sent?
2) By using cmd and + or - I can zoom in and out of an incoming email, how do increase the size of an email I am writing? The image is too small on the screen.
Look forward to help, thanks.

Edit Menu > Spelling

Mail Preferences > Fonts and Colors
Note these setting do not effect RTF, HTML mail and are not sent in plain text Mail.

Thanks. Spell check understood. But, increasing the size of an email I don't think we are on the same wave length. I don't want to increase the size of the font, but the overall image. The email window is too small on the screen. Another question: how do I create sub folders in the incoming mail folder. Thanks very much for your help.

You can resize the Window but there is no way to scale content. Older OSX small corner control, bottom right. New OSX any Window edge will resize the Window.

Control - Scroll up/down scales whole screen.

Mailbox > New Mailbox...
