Hi

when I compose an email, I type in the first letter of an address and dozens appear in the drop down box to choose from. Most of these addresses are old and not used anymore. I have deleted them from my contact list, but they still appear when I type in one letter into the TO: section. I have deleted all my junk, I have no idea why or how my mac mail is remembering all these old email addresses. Also, I have just started using a new computer and the old email addresses appear on the computer when I send an email via mac mail as well. How can I get rid of these old email addresses?

THANK YOU

Dan

Have you been to "Previous Recipients" found under 'Window' in the Mail.app menu? If those old email addresses show up there despite the fact you've already been through your Contacts list, then remove them & test.
