Mac mail not working right

My wife's white macbook is getting emails but not sending. And it won't seem to accept password.

Thanks Cory, I think Apple made an update that threw the Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server info off. I changed them slightly and presto they work again. Thanks anyway.

I don't use Mail but sometimes when I'm responding to something it goes to Mail. Then I get a notice saying Yahoo or iCloud will not work. Any reason this happens?
