Recently my Mac Mail has started using up to 2.5gb of memory - grinding everything almost to a halt. There's only about 750mb of attachments, and not excessive volume of emails. OSX is 10.6.8, with 4gb of memory.
When opening Mac Mail, it starts off using just 60mb, and gradually climbs to 2.5gb over 10-15 minutes.
Any ideas on what might be causing this?
Thanks.
