Hi, so today I swapped out my 1tb hard drive for a 1tb Samsung SSD drive in my Early 2011, 13in MacBook Pro. Installed MacOS in internet recovery mode (Lion OS), and on rebooting my computer, I immediately saw the prohibited symbol - a circle with a diagonal line through it.

I can still access internet recovery mode using Command+R, and so I tried to verify/repair the SSD. An error message appeared saying that the repair/verification cannot be completed, and that there is an issue with the partition map.

Have a missed a vital step somewhere down the line? Any advice would be great, Thanks

Hello and welcome.

-Which model is the Samsung SSD?
-Did you format the SSD as GUID and Mac OS Extended (Journal) before installing Lion?
-Have you tried holding the Option key down at startup to use the Startup Manager?
