Love Pages, but publisher wants Word doc

I have written a book and the publishers/agents etc. all want the manuscript in Word. I love working in Pages, and I can export to Word, but the format gets all messed up. Do I really need to subscribe to Office 365 to use Word, or can I install something else? Any suggestions?

Hello,

It depends on formatting - exporting from Pages to a Word document doesn't always transfer all of the formatting properly. The only way to guarantee it is to use Word unfortunately.
