I use a 2021 MBPro M1 with Sonoma 14.0 installed last week. Previously I had Ventura 13.6.
My i-Phone XR [iOS 17.02] is where I take most pictures; they are carried over to I-Pad Mini 6 [also 17.0.2]. All pictures are kept on the Cloud for automatic saving between devices.
I have noticed about 40 - 50 pictures have disappeared from all the above taken in the past 3 -4 weeks, thus both before and after the recent OS updates. Over recent weeks a number of these pictures have disappeared for a few days and then reappeared.
My old iMac of 2011 [High Sierra 10.13.6] has lost the current pictures too.
If I do a search on a place name I can find several hundred showing as being in the index (for example, in my locality) but very few, perhaps 1 or 2 are actually viewable.
Any ideas where all these photos might have gone?
