List with categories

I'd like to create a list/table with various categories like size, weight, colour etc. which I can get to reorder by clicking on the top bar/list heading - like a finder window or iTunes list where you can get the listing to rearrange itself if you click on 'Name' or 'Date Modified' for example.

Say you wanted to list all your Blurays or vinyl - you would artist, genre, date, etc. against the title of the item and then have to ability to click on the top of the list called 'artist' and the list rearranges itself in alphabetical order of the artist's name.

I think it might be called databasing.

Any help much appreciated.
