Keyboard batteries

Recently changed from a PC to Mac OS X. Need to change the keyboard batteries but don't know how to open what I assume is the battery compartment. Doesn't open easily and I'm scared of damaging it.

Thank you Kaveman - easy when you know how!! Had a bit of a panic when the keyboard didn't work after I replaced the batteries, but pressed the other end, and hey presto, back in business!
