Hello,

Since yesterday, I continually am receiving a msg.
to "sign into the iTunes store". Can't get rid of it; keeps re-appearing.

If I hit the cancel button, it still keeps coming back.

I don't think I've ever used the iTunes store, but perhaps.

Keeps asking me to sign in with my Apple Password.
The Apple ID that appears is correct.

a. Do you think this is legitimate, or Malware ?

b. If legitimate, how do I keep them from continually reappearing ?

If not, how do I get rid of it ? Any way of stopping it from reappearing ?

As always, thanks,
Bob

Hello,

It could be iTunes, iBooks, or App Store. If you have made any purchases from any of them, it could be prompting you.

Feel free to upload a screenshot of it...we can verify whether it is legit. I would guess it is. The only way to get rid of it is to enter the password, and to prevent it from reappearing, you can sign out.

Hi Cory,

Well, after several hrs where it seemed impossible to prevent
these recurring msgs from coming, they are gone now.

If they re-appear, will send a screen shot.

Wonder if they were legit or not ?
Anyway, not happening any more recently.

Thanks for help,
Bob

OK, thanks.

Sometimes those prompts will happen when they are updating the iTunes Store, or if there is an issue on their end. They normally resolve themselves if that is the case.

Please do upload a screenshot if the issue returns.
